A PICTURE WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

"They" say that a picture is worth a thousand words. In other words, you can get at least a thousand (or more) interpretatantions behind the meaning of each picture viewed; Well, this picture of my reality that I drew boads the same effect, only I want it to do more than give an interpretation of my reality. I want people to know that with-out a doubt, this is my reality. Only I'm not dead yet. Thus, it's a possibility to avert the tragic end of the person in this picture.

In all my trails and tribulations of life, I never thought for a minute I would end up here - on Texas infamous death row; Truth be told. I never knew about a death penalty here or really, in America period! Where I'm from (Michigan), it is no death penalty. And, despite the crime of my living environment then, a death penalty was not apart of my reality.

That said, I don't think where I am from makes a person more prone to crime, as implied by the state (of Texas) to sway the jury into sending me here. But, say for arguments sake that Michigan is more violent than Texas. Texas sends more people to death row and executes more people than any state in America. Yet, it still suffers a high prision population and crime rate. So, what is the purpose for having the death penalty? It surely isn't justice. If it was, I and many others simply would not be here, and that's a sad fact of reality.

Not with standing that my trial and convivtion is a complete mockery of justice. What is even more sad is that the state (of Texas) simply refuse to acknowledge the injustice done to me as it continues to pass me right along through the courts like it has done so many others; I can see it's sick celebration - call it jubilation! - of my coming demise in its murder machine. If I don't get some help by some brave soul in the court system (a judge) who still believes in and stands up for justice, the reality of this picture that I drawn, will be complete. It will be a "Texas Jubilee" a celebration of death. MY DEATH! So please join in the effort to prevent such a tragic end; Thank you for reading these words.

EIN BILD TAUSEND WORTE WERT

„Sie“ sagen dass ein Bild eintausend Worte wert ist. Mit anderen Worten, man kann hinter jedem zu betrachteten Bild mindestens tausend (oder mehr) Interpretationen erkennen; also, dieses Bild meiner Realität, das ich gemalt habe, hat den gleichen Effekt, nur dass ich mehr tun möchte, als die Interpretation meiner Realität zu geben. Ich möchte die Menschen wissen lassen, dass dies ohne Zweifel meine Realität ist. Nur dass ich noch nicht tot bin. Obwohl es eine Möglichkeit ist, das tragische Ende der Person im Bild abzuwenden.

Auf all meinen Wegen, Höhen und Tiefen im Leben habe ich nicht für eine Minute daran gedacht, dass ich hier enden würde – im berüchtigten Todestrakt Texas; um die Wahrheit zu sagen, ich habe nichts über die Todesstrafe hier oder generell in Amerika gewusst! Wo ich herkomme (Michigan), gibt es keine Todesstrafe. Und, trotz meines damaligen kriminellen Umfeldes, eine Todesstrafe war kein Teil meiner Realität.

Und doch, ich glaube nicht, wo ich herkomme, eine Person eher zur Kriminalität neigt, was vom Staat (von Texas) behauptet wird, weshalb die Jury umschwenkte und mich hierher schickte. Aber um des Streites Willen, dass es in Michigan gewalttätiger zugeht als in Texas. Texas schickt mehr Menschen in die Todeszelle und tötet mehr Menschen als irgendein anderer Staat in Amerika. Trotzdem gibt es eine hohe Anzahl an Häftlingen und eine hohe Kriminalität. Also, was ist der Sinn der Todesstrafe? Es ist sicherlich keine Gerechtigkeit. Wenn dem so wäre, wären ich und viele andere einfach nicht hier und das ist eine traurige Tatsache.

Nicht weiter zu betonen, dass meine Verhandlung und Verurteilung eine spöttische Gerechtigkeit sind. Was viel trauriger ist, der Staat (von Texas) verweigert einfach, zur Kenntnis zu nehmen, dass mir Ungerechtigkeit zuteil wurde und noch durch die Gerichte zuteil wird wie so vielen Anderen; ich kann die kranke Freude sehen – nenn es Jubilieren! – mein kommendes Ende an deren Mördermaschine.

Wenn ich keine Hilfe von einer mutigen Seele im Gerichtssystem (ein Richter) bekomme, der immer noch an Gerechtigkeit glaubt und für diese steht, dann wird die Realität des Bildes, das ich gemalt habe, endgültig. Es wird ein „Texas-Freudenfest“ eine Feier des Todes sein. MEINES TODES! Daher macht mit, dieses tragische Ende zu verhindern; danke dass Ihr diese Worte gelesen habt.
