I'm  in the highest of hope that this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits. 

           My name is Rodney C. Rachal. I'm one of many death row inmates. I was born april 29, 1970. I've been incarcerated 13 years 10 months "since October 28,1990". I'm 5 feet 10 inces tall, I weigh 194 pounds, Due to the fact that I'm limited. I enjoy exercising, listening to music, such as R&, rapp, jazz, and even a little country. I occaisionally play chess over the run. Also I enjoy reading and writing as much as my eyes will allow. There's no particular kind of book my mind is open to all types of books I'm interested in finding a pen pal to correspond with, because once one egins to share that he/she begins to realize just how wonderful having a true friend can be. Many have good intentions which is touching, but good intentions are not tangable a true friend is something difficult to be which I've learned. I'm not saying that I've mastered this, but I will always give 100% of myself to make things work., for I want to build the most Beautiful and Profoundest friendship ever endured by two human beings in our situation. Gender doesn't matter, for we are all human beings and I'm looking to share a true friendship. For I'm sure you're aware of the loneliness endured here on Texas Death Row. We have no televesion and are only allowed (1) one hour a day out of our cell. Therefore I have 23 hours a day to devote to writing someone. If you are interested please feel free.

Ich hoffe sehr, dass dieser Brief Euch gesund und glücklich vorfindet.

Mein Name ist Rodney C. Rachal. Ich bin einer von vielen Todestrakthäftlingen. Ich wurde am 29. April 1970 geboren. Ich bin seit dem 28. Oktober 1990, 13 Jahre und 10 Monate, eingesperrt.  Ich bin 1,78 Meter groß und wiege 88 kg, weil ich nicht viel machen kann. Ich trainiere gerne, höre gerne Musik wie R%B, Rap, Jazz und sogar ein wenig Country. Ich spiele sogar manchmal über den Flur hinweg Schach. Auch lese und schreibe ich gerne, solange meine Augen mitmachen. Kein spezielles Buch, denn ich bin offen für alle Bücher und Genres. Ich  möchte gerne einem Brieffreund kennen lernen, mit dem ich mich unterhalten kann, denn irgendwann stellt man fest, wie wundervoll es sein kann, einen Freund/Freundin zu haben. Viele haben gute Vorsätze und das berührt mich, aber es ist schwer, ein guter Freund zu sein. Ich sage nicht, dass ich es immer schaffe, aber ich werde immer 100% von mir selbst geben, damit das erreicht werden kann, denn ich möchte die schönste und tiefgründigste Freundschaft aufbauen, die je von zwei Menschen in unserer Situation erreicht wurde. Geschlecht spielt keine Rolle, denn wir alle sind menschliche Wesen und ich suche eine wahre Freundschaft. Sicherlich ist dir die Einsamkeit hier im Todestrakt von Texas bewusst. Wir haben kein Fernsehen und uns ist 1 Stunde täglich außerhalb unserer Zelle erlaubt. Daher habe ich 23 Stunden täglich, um mich dem Schreiben an jemanden zu widmen. Wenn Du Interesse hast, habe keine Hemmungen.
