Dear People I include a brief Bio' of who and what Robert Ramos is.
I was born in Aquascalientes Mexico, On the 23st of May of 1954,
that makes me 51 years old, for a time I resided in The State of
Jalisco, and Other States, finally I end up in texas' death row I
have now survived Life in the row, and the hand of the Executioner
about 13 years, and like most of my cronies, I do hope that one day
Justice is served in a fair and equitable manner.
My life in here is as hard as I want to make it on myself, but for
the most part I do the time in a constructive manner. This way, I
don't let Prison make me a bitter person, my survival has been more
laughter than tears, because is better to laugh in here, than to cry
or get mad over something I can't change with a protest or hunger
strike, because I believe that change of our living conditions will
come from the outside, and people who is outside of the prison
system are the ones who will bring a change. Oh I can go and demand
that something change, the people who run this place just luck me up
in punishment pod, and that was the end of my protest, knowing that,
I am left w ith, a funny world to amuse me.
Where the peculiarities of my fellow death row cronies, and that of
the drama queens who guard us make me laugh. On the side of my
fellow death row prisoners, is the way they struggle with a reality
that is not there, or they search for illutions with they can never
find in or out of their minds. On the side of the guards, well they
are simpletons who were born in the woods and will die in the woods,
but because they now, work for the justice system believe that
brains were issued to them on they day they got the job.
So really for me life in the row, has been filled with endless
humor, and laughter, whenever I have the means to aid one of the
fellows in need I am always happy to help him. Be that with a bit of
food or personal hygine items, I spend my time reading writing, and
I sort of teach an art class as that is also against the rules, so
when I am asked how a fellow can do this texture, I try to help him
as I belie ve that a busy mind is a calm mind.
At night time I can always tune my radio to radio station from
Mexico City, so that I hold that connection with my home-land. I
enjoy classical music opera and ranchera for many years. I was lucky
to listen to a program named Literary nights and on sunday Lyric
opera hosted by the great grandson of the poet who wrote the Mexican
National hymn. Now that-that is out I have to tune to grand opera
from NY, I enjoy political talk and to a point try to stay
up-to-date with what is taking place in the world as that also
influence my struggle in the row and my quality of life.
I enjoy people and I am known as a good listener, I have command of
my native language Espanol, and English. If you care to write, I'll
be happy to reply to your letters as stamps allow me.
In the struggle

Hallo Ihr Lieben,
Opera von New York stellen.
Robert
