State-administered death is always a greater horror than any other by virtue of the methodical reasoning that precedes it. French philosopher Albert Camus wrote that "capital punishment is the most premeditated of murders". "The United States' concept of justifiable homicide/Executions in criminal law stands on the dividing line between an excuse, justification and an exculpation. In other words, it takes a case that would otherwise have been a murder or another crime representing intentional killing, and either excuses or justifies the individual accused from all criminal liability or treats the accused differently from other intentional killers.

Friend to Be...

I'm a man that's on Death Row and, I'm in search for some who's genuine, open and most of all, that's willing to get to know a individual that’s Been misunderstood!

I'm attracted to determination, and I admire honesty, and I'm interested in learning, as there is no limits within or out of this world! I like to read, and exercise, most of all I enjoy meeting new people!

All I’m asking for in a friendship, to be able to do what friends do, to bring one another to high spirits, when it appears the sun is no longer shining and the world is against us, as well as being supportive of each other’s needs !

I hope this isn't too much of an request... all it takes is, a drop of understanding, and a drop of trust, that in time will create a sea deep friendship!

Age nationality, gender, and mind set doesn't matter .. if you’re looking for someone to be yourself, with, I'm here.

I'm sure, it’s someone out there, who wants to share their bright days and dark nights ... the question is, will you?!

My name is Paul Slater, and you'd be doing more than you can imagine by providing me the opportunity to know you, and share myself !

How does one heal from broken Heart?

I'v tried solitude, I've meditated, prayed and attempted to simply forget, nothing seems to worl, not even chicken soup.

Thought I'd try a new friendship, maybe you've been where I am, or maybe your just open to a fresh beginning with some one new, either way I am a good person with a Big heart and I can really use a friend right now!

Have a Blessed Day, patiently waiting,

Mr. Paul Slater #999208

Hello,

My name is Paul Slater. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I have one sister and a mother who does everything in her power to love and support me. For the last 8 years, she has been the one consistent person in my lilfe. I love my whole family and understand they can not devote as much time and effort as my mother, for they are working and struggling to make it in life.

As for myself, I love to read all types of books. I love all types of music. I love aIl animals and something that I didn't get the chance to do... I would love to travel and see as much as possible of the world. I also enjoy sports very much. I consider myself a pretty good baseball player, (smile). I enjoy watching movies, even though at the present time, we are not able to watch T.V. They say it is a threat to security!

I am writing today to ask for a pen pal. The age does not matter to me, male or female would be most welcomed. I have put pen pal ads up before with minimum success. I find it very interesting, how people from so far away can have such a big influence on my life, as I was not as fortunate as others to travel. Letters allow me to leave the confines of my cage. I will answer all letters and questions you have for me, as I'm sure you will want to know more about my incarceration!

I thank you for your time!

Sincerely,

Paul Slater, #999208
