State-administered death is always a greater horror than any other by virtue of the methodical reasoning that precedes it. French philosopher Albert Camus wrote that "capital punishment is the most premeditated of murders". "The United States' concept of justifiable homicide/Executions in criminal law stands on the dividing line between an excuse, justification and an exculpation. In other words, it takes a case that would otherwise have been a murder or another crime representing intentional killing, and either excuses or justifies the individual accused from all criminal liability or treats the accused differently from other intentional killers.

I am new to Death Row and it is pretty tough right now. I am writing in hopes that you will be able to help me. I will write a short intro if it will help you.

 Hi,

My name is Guy Allen. I am a 40 year old African American, who is in search of a nice and compassionate person to correspond with. I am a nice open minded person who enjoys many things. Among some of the things I still enjoy doing are reading and playing chess. I’ve always enjoyed working out so I got plenty of time to stay in shape. I also enjoy listening to all kinds of music, R&B, Blues, some Hip Hop, Jazz and yes – country and western. Smile!

Because I am on Death Row I can not do all of the things I would normally enjoy. I’ve been only here for a short time but already the boredom and anxiety is very difficult to deal with. My case is on appeal so I got a long hard fight ahead of me. A nice pen friend will go a long way in helping in my fight. I hope to hear from you soon.

mein Name ist Guy Allen. Ich bin ein 40-jähriger afrikanischer Amerikaner, der einen netten Menschen sucht, mit dem ich austauschen kann. Ich bin ein netter, offener Mann und ich habe Spaß an vielen Dingen. Unter anderem lese ich immer noch sehr gerne, ich spiele Schach. Es hat mir immer schon Freude bereitet zu trainieren, und jetzt habe ich eine Menge Zeit um in Form zu bleiben. Ich höre auch gerne jede Art von Musik wie R&B, Blues, manchen Hip Hop, Jazz und ja – auch Country and Western. Smile!

Da ich im Todestrakt bin, kann ich nicht alles machen, was mir normalerweise Spaß macht. Ich bin erst seit kurzem hier, aber bereits jetzt ist es schwer mit der Langenweile und der Angst klarzukommen. Mein Fall geht in die Berufung, daher habe ich einen langen und harten Kampf vor mir. Ein netter Brieffreund würde einen langen Weg mit mir in meinem Kampf mitgehen. Ich hoffe schon bald von Dir zu hören.
